Welcome
to the rural and casual lifestyle of Mariposa County, California, where
there is still plenty going on even though most restaurants are closed
by 9pm, especially in Winter.
Your
last great place to shop before entering Yosemite National Park via Hiway
140 - the only road to the park that is open all year round.

First we need food. The very popular local supermarket.

And
sometimes we need aspirin and bandaids, with a touch of
chocolate, a magazine and some ice cream.

Then
we need hardware to maintain our houses
And
parts for our cars and trailers

A
friendly service for all our shipping and private mail box
receiving services

Plus
clothing nicknacks for kids and grandma

And
those extras - plus gas - out in Bootjack on Hwy 49 to Oakhurst.
And
a yoga studio to get the kinks out (or in)
And
custom flowers for all the family - to replace those the
deer ate.

And
lots of gas of course, day and night.

Tucked
right behind the Subway shop is the Gold Rush Trading Post
- your starting point for gold panning supplies, maps and
some good local jewelry.
The
amazing big bustling jewelry, gemstones, rocks, Indian and
gift shop right downtown. Most items handmade or designed
by Su Carney, the owner.
The
Odd Fellows Meeting House, and now The Fremont Clothing
Store too.

And
a backup choice for groceries and good meat.

Take
your tourist friends here. Popular last stop for tour busses
before leaving town and the local scenic beauty. If it is
not open, walk 1 block up main street to Yosemite Gifts.
Maybe
we can shop together in Mariposa while we discuss real estate investments!
